Observation end time: 14:00:00
Total observation time: 6 hours

Official Counter: Jenna McDermott

Observers: Jim McCoy, Larry Ludwicki

Weather:
Strong winds continued again today from the SW with temperatures between
-4C and -2C.

Raptor Observations:
There was a decent flight today compared to the last little while, 26
birds! Northern Harriers and Red-tailed Hawks made up most of the numbers,
with one light Rough-legged Hawk and one Golden Eagle to round things out.
The resident Bald Eagles are still hanging around, today they seemed to be
having a grand old time playing around one small section of open water on
the far side of the marsh.

Non-raptor Observations:
A few more passerines migrated today as well, including American Crows,
Red-winged Blackbirds, Common Grackles, American Goldfinches and European
Starlings. 2 American Pipits hung around the tower again for the day and
Tundra Swans flew high overhead. Right at the end of the day, 9 Great Blue
Herons all of a sudden appeared together, flying, in the middle of the
marsh, headed east. See today's eBird list

Predictions:
Another cold day, from -9 to -3C with winds at 20km/h from the west.
