While on my way to Long Point this AM to look for the previously reported
Ross's Geese, by Mike Burrell, I found a juvenile Ross's Goose aprox. 2
kilometres south of Langton. It was in corn stubble field on the west side of
Hyw. 59 with a group of Canada Geese. There is a good chance that it was one
of the birds that Mike reported yesterday. With all the farm activity, the
birds were on the move. We did not locate any Ross's Geese at Long Point but
the Sandhill Crane numbers were impressive. We counted aprox. 800 birds but
felt that this was very conservative.

Directions: Hyway 59 south of Langton. Look for the sign the reads SOS
Variety. Check the fields.

Good birding
