Birded GTA with Luke Berg today.
At 10.30 am saw the Painted Bunting in the magnolia tree at #3 Arkendo, off
Lakeshore Blvd. in Oakville. Then viewed it through the neighbour's hedge at
the feeder.
A quick stop at Sedgewick Park (off Lakeshore further west) produced Tennessee,
Orange-crowned, Wilson's, 2 Yellow-rumped Warblers, Winter Wren and House
Finches. We parked in the Jehovah's Witness Church parking lot (do not use this
on Sundays).
At the suspension bridge at Humber Bay Park East in Toronto at the foot of Park
Lawn Road off the Lakeshore, the 1st-year male King Eider gave great views.
Also there were C. Goldeneyes, Long-tailed Ducks, Ruddy Ducks, Gadwall, Hooded
Merganser, etc.
Our final stop at the Don River/Don Valley Parkway and Lakeshore Blvd. in
Toronto for the Black & White Warbler was unsuccessful despite searching for 75
minutes. But we did find there 25 Robins, a Mockingbird and a White-throated
Sparrow.
