Hi,

We just had the Gyrfalcon in flight over the LaFleche landfill site near
Casselman, ON. The bird was first spotted perched atop a mound by Michael
Tate.
A little later I saw it flying over the dump giving us great althoughy
distant views for a few minutes. It was eventually chased away by a dark
morph Rough-legged Hawk. With me at the time were Jane, Connie and Susan.
Minutes before the excitement many gulls flushed and moved to the field as
well as thousands of starlings. This is a good time to scan the sky.

Good birding,
