Hi folks
This am... I saw a Red-throated Loon and A male Harlequin Duck at Kipling Spit
AKA Colonel Samuel Smith at the base of Kipling south of Lakeshore south of
Humber College campus. Many photographers were there. Took videos.
They are together at the east side of the bay after parking at the last
parking lot, beware students take the parking spots...very little parking.
Walk east and south to lake. Harlequin male follows a female Buffleheads and
has been for months. There is also an immature male Harlequin.
Many other ducks in the bay and on the lake.
Also 2 Snow Buntings west of parking lot near unleashed dog walk area. As
well, a Peregrine Falcon was on the hunt.
No sign of the Snowy Owl, there were folks ice fishing near Marina...BUT there
is female Snowy in Marina on boat moorings at Lakeside Promenade south and
east of Cawthra at Lakeshore blvd
House Finches , Cardinals, and Mourning Doves are singing their full spring
song...
So go out and enjoy.....like the Many photographers at the Kipling spit
