greetings ontbirders I was reading about the redpoll numbers dropping in Algonquin park and I think they have found the Hilliardton marsh just north of NewLiskeard. While we have had large flocks all winter numbers have soared in the last week hoary redpolls can easily be seen in the flocks as well. Pine grosbeaks were abundant this winter but have recently disappeared a bald eagle and snowy owls can be found in the area and besides the redpoll numbers and crows we have had no migrants reach this far north yet. Hilliardton marsh is located just north of NewLiskeard which is located about 500 km north of Toronto on hwy 11 _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
