greetings  ontbirders I was reading  about the redpoll numbers dropping in 
Algonquin park and I think they have found  the Hilliardton marsh just north of 
NewLiskeard.  While we have had large flocks all winter numbers have soared in 
the last week hoary redpolls can easily be seen in the flocks as well.  Pine 
grosbeaks were abundant this winter  but have recently disappeared a bald eagle 
and snowy owls  can be found in the area  and besides the redpoll numbers and 
crows we have had no migrants reach this far north yet.
 
Hilliardton marsh is located just north of NewLiskeard which is located  about 
500 km north of Toronto on hwy 11
