I'm being inundated by Purple finches male and female and even (now rare) 1 housefinch. Golden finches are chattering away, while the Juncos, Chipping sparrows, White throated sparrows are busy munching on the fallen seeds, while Mr.Bluejay is standing by for handouts. My annual Eastern wood pewee has arrived so now I know spring is really here! Ofcourse the White and Rose breasted nuthatches and Chickadees never left. Woodpeckers and Sapsuckers are doing their usual damage to my trees. I'm looking forward to seeing the Warblers and Kinglets make their appearance. Uwe isn't spring wonderfull? BTW the first red breasted Grossbeak has just arrived! _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
