Birders

Just a reminder the Piping Plovers at Hanlan's Point are endangered under both provincial and federal species-at-risk legislation. The Wilson's and Snowy Plover are vagrants. If you are pursuing these significant sightings be extra cautious about interfering with the Piping Plovers. It appears they are attempting to nest at Hanlans' Point

Remember the welfare of birds, all birds, comes first, especially endangered birds. Under the Ontario ESA, it is prohibited to wilfully kill, injure or interfere with an endangered species, or to interfere with or destroy the habitat of an endangered species.

See you out there tomorrow.
