Temperatures rose to 29C with high humidity, making it feel much warmer. The sky was clear, but visibility was poor from a heavy haze. A slight breeze sometimes blew from the south. Raptor Observations: A grand total of 5 raptors were seen migrating today; 2 Northern Harriers and 3 American Kestrels. There has been a Broad-winged Hawk seen around the park for a few days recently which was seen again today but did not migrate. Non-raptor Observations: Migration in the morning of non-raptors was quite productive, with highlights of 70 Killdeer, 42 Chimney Swifts, 23 Purple Martins, and 346 Cedar Waxwings. The high temperatures also brought plenty of migrating dragonflies! 36 Twelve-Spotted Skimmers, 22 Black Saddlebags and 8 Green Darners.
