Observation start time: 08:00:00
Observation end time: 14:00:00
Total observation time: 6 hours

Official Counter: Jenna McDermott

Observers: Jim McCoy, Kory Renaud

Weather:
A bit of a cooler day compared to the last few, temperatures ranged from
23C to 26C. A breeze came mostly out of the south, bringing some cloud
cover.

Raptor Observations:
A slow day for raptors, with only 6 migrating: 2 American Kestrels, 1
Red-tailed Hawk, and 3 Ospreys. A Sharp-shinned Hawk was seen but did not
migrate, and the resident Osprey and Bald Eagles showed up every now and
again to search for food.

Non-raptor Observations:
The morning brought a flight of swallows and Purple Martins, and by the end
of the day there had been an amazing 534 Cedar Waxwings. Kory Renaud
spotted a Snowy Egret in the marsh which later came closer and was being
chased around by a Great Egret! Another interesting sight was a Common
Grackle that found a crayfish in the parking lot and proceeded to very
cautiously carry it away. Dragonflies for the day were: 4 Twelve-spotted
Skimmers, 11 Black Saddlebags, and 5 Common Green Darners. 1 Monarch. See
