The Western Kingbird was easily viewed at 10:30 this morning in the same location in the Fletcher Wildlife area as it has been reported. It seems to favour perching in dead trees, sitting not at the very top but about 2/3 the way up. The row of trees it frequents separates the corn fields (near a red barn) from the old field immediately south of the butterfly garden.
