Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Jenna McDermott

Observers: Bob Hall-Brooks, Carol Pitts, Dan Loncke, Ed Pitts,
Jim McCoy, Kory Renaud, Michael Williamson

Weather:
Beautiful weather for being outside, with a slight breeze, starting from
the N and moving to the SE and S. There was a heavy layer of haze around
the marsh and cloud cover was variable.

Raptor Observations:
Every now and again a raptor would fly low and not too far from the tower.
Other than that, Turkey Vultures flew exceptionally far from the tower and
often were seen popping in and out of the haze. A couple Red-shoulders were
close enough to get really nice looks, and a Merlin sat in a tree close by
for a few minutes as well. 9 species today with low numbers.

Non-raptor Observations:
Passerines were busy flying around this morning, including unidentified
warbler species, Red-winged Blackbirds, starlings, American Goldfinches,
Tree Swallows and Blue Jays (5890). Two beautiful Blue-headed Vireos were
seen together from the tower. The marsh continues to contain a large
selection of waterfowl. 2 Monarchs. See today's eBird list

Predictions:
A stronger NW and N wind might drive a few more birds through tomorrow.
