Weather: Wind moderate out of Northwest

 

Other birds: 55 species including: 16 species of ducks, geese and swans; 8
Great Egrets; 2 Pied-billed Grebes; 2 Hudsonian Godwits, 2 Black-bellied
Plovers; 5 Dunlin, 4 Greater Yellowlegs, 3 Lesser Yellowlegs; 3 Wilson's
Snipes, 2 Common Ravens; 7 Wild Turkeys; 6 Bonaparte's Gulls, 6
Yellow-rumped Warblers, 41 American Pipits, 1 Eastern Meadowlark, 25 Rusty
Blackbirds, 29 White-throated Sparrows and 3 White-crowned Sparrows.
Hundreds of blackbirds were migrating west all day.

Directions: Exit from the 401 at Brock St. in Whitby. Go south on Brock St.

to Victoria St. Go west on Victoria to Halls Road. Go south on Halls Rd to

the second walkway to Cranberry Marsh.
