Apologies, fellow hawkers. The post I sent you yesterday is all garbled. What's
that numbers game? Sudoku? Well, in case you're not so good at that, here's
what I tried to do. Yesterday's Hawkwatch results are all the small numbers in
the bunch. The next numbers were supposed to be the results for September 2015.
They are all unfortunately smaller than their corresponding numbers coming next
which are the results from last September, 2014. Next time, after October is
done, I will report numbers side by side for October this year and last. And
I'll try not to make it look all jumbled up like a kettle of Broadwings, as if
I should know what that looks like. Bit of a rainy one tomorrow but if there
are any birdies in it I'll be seeing you.Today was a day of a few Sharpshins
and that was about it. A lot of nice folks came to vist, though, and took
pictures of the leaves in the bird-eating sugarbush. Tomorrow, I fear, those
leaves may be down. All the sparrows and bluebirds from days gon
e by have gone through and been replaced by the somber little Juncos. Those
little guys always do their best to cheer us up all winter so- Hawks - leave
"em alone!
