At 2:30 I had a Pacific (there may have been two actually, I had a hard time keeping track with all birds diving and moving around constantly) and three Red-throated loons off the mouth of the Nottawassaga River in Wasaga Beach.
Take Main Street going west into Wasaga Beach. Turn right after crossing the bridge over the Notawassaga River. Turn right again immediately to enter Wasaga Beach Park. Continue east to the last parking lot. Walking east up the beach will take you to the mouth of the river. The loons seemed to be favouring the area immediately in front of the river mouth.
