Observation start time: 08:00:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 7 hours

Official Counter: Jenna McDermott

Observers: Bob Hall-Brooks, Michael Williamson

Visitors:
Neil picked out the flying mergansers, and a couple that is new to the area
checked out the park.

Weather:
It was the sort of damp cold this morning that stays with you all day, even
though the clouds broke up sporadically and let the sun shine down on us.
Winds came around 10kph from the west, at times shifting minutely more
north and south. Cloud cover ranged between 10% and 95%.

Raptor Observations:
Just as the sun was sporadic, so were the raptors. We had a grand total of
11 raptors, with almost all of them being Red-tails. Three adult Bald
Eagles circled their way across the marsh, and one light Rough-legged Hawk
accompanied a Red-tail to the west, making the only moment of the day where
there were 2 species seen at the same time.

Non-raptor Observations:
Pretty slim picking for movement of other birds. The only ones flying west
were 11 Red-winged Blackbirds, a Mourning Dove, 4 Pine Siskins, and 69
American Goldfinches. There was also very little activity around the tower.
With the marsh still in its liquid form, ducks continue to be quite varied.
A female Hooded Merganser, and 3 female Common Mergansers flew over towards
the lake. See today's eBird list

Predictions:
Sunny all day with temperatures up to 7C and 20kph winds from the SW.
