Today Ian Cannell and I found a Wilson’s Warbler on Ward’s Island. The bird was feeding in a Birch Tree in the area straight out (south) from the bridge to Snake Island between the paved road and the boardwalk.
The Snake Island bridge is approx. 1.2 km west of the Ward’s Island ferry dock. It was with a mixed flock of Cedar Waxwings, Brown Creepers and Black-capped Chickadees. Directions:- The ferry docks are at the very south end of bay Street – Fare $7.50 adults – $4.75 Seniors / Students. The ferries are on Winter schedule and only go to Ward’s Island.
