With more groups still to report, preliminary results had fewer birds
but most of the previously reported birds were relocated at Sedgewick
Water Treatment Plant on the Lakeshore between 3rd and 4th lines in
Oakville - Blue-headed Vireo, Palm Warbler, Orange-crowned Warbler,
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Ruby-crowned Kinglet and Hermit Thrush being
highlights.
A second Blue-headed Vireo was relocated at the East Oakville Water
Treatment Plant north of the Lakeshore west of Winston Churchill Blvd in
Oakville. Previous reported Wilson's Warblers could not be located.
Not unprecedented but note-worthy was Black-crowned Night-Heron was
found today - location uncertain at this moment but near Bronte Creek
and likely Petro-Can Park off Bronte Road north of Rebecca.
The wide-ranging male Harlequin Duck was seen this morning off private
property near Lorne Park. It was close to shore and has been reported
at multiple locations between Port Credit Harbour and Oakville Harbour
(16 Mile Creek).
Finals results will be loaded on the Audubon CBC website in the coming days
