At 3:30 pm I saw the female Smew on Ault Island. It is currently behind 13917 Willbruck Drive. There is a house under construction at 13911 and I was able to see it through my scope from that driveway.
It is in a flock of about 300 Canada Geese. No other mergansers around, only a pair of Mallard.
