Hi ONTBIRDS subscribers. We were out to visit the newly rehabilitated Thames River Wetlands site just past Beachville this evening. Hoping for a Meadowlark, we were in luck! An Eastern Meadowlark was singing from one of the wooden fence posts on the north side of the tracks.
The bird was seen along Beachville Road, east of Beachville and west of Woodstock. UTM coordinates 43°06'09.1"N 80°48'47.9"W. Look along the fence posts on the north side of the road. Good birding!
