Another cool morning at Point Pelee, but there were obvious signs of migration
overnight with new species being seen. At the Tip male Hooded and Blackburnian
Warblers were seen well with more common species such as Yellow, Yellow-rumped
and Black-and-white Warblers. Horned Grebes continue on the west side of the
Tip with up to 5 individuals seen from the tram stop going south.

The duck flock has drifted north to the halfway tram stop and West Beach. At
least 6 Surf Scoter with in with the mergansers and scaup.

The Woodland Trail was active at first light with up to 4 Northern Waterthrush
spread out between Bridge A at the north and Bridge F at the south. A
Blue-winged Warbler is drifting around with a Blue-headed Vireo and being seen
east and west of Bridge A. The Redbud trail may also be a good location to look
for these two species. A White-eyed Vireo was proving allusive on the east side
of Woodland, but a couple lucky photographers came in with photos.

An Orange-crowned Warbler being seen on the Chinquapin Trail is the latest
species to be reported.

Further north in the Park a Rose-breasted Grosbeak and Northern Parula were
reported from the Sanctuary Trail.
