While our migration hotspots don't seem to be overwhelmed with birds, we
currently have a number of continuing rarities that are generating
interest. Some say too much interest and find the volume of posts
excessive. While many are interested in the day to day status of
individual birds, hourly posts may annoy more than inform. Two posts a
day is probably enough for a continuing bird. If needed the delete key
is effective.
Not sure if this is widespread but Sympatico subscribers to Ontbirds may
be missing reports. You can still post report from a sympatico email
address. Smart phone users might consider subscribing to Ontbirds with
another service like gmail or hotmail. Yahoo sadly marches to its own
beat. Online archives contain all Ontbird posts. One of many archives
is http://birding.aba.org/maillist/ON
Finally this is the busy migration season, remember birds and birders
need their space. With that in mind please take a moment to review the
