Hello birders:

Well, this is THE day. The warblers are "dripping from the trees", especially
at the Tip. At least 28 warbler species have been reported so far, and we
expect this number to climb. Cape May Warblers are stunningly abundant, and
there are still lots of earlier migrants like Palm and Yellow-rumped Warblers
and Ruby-crowned Kinglets. Scarlet Tanagers are also numerous.

The Tip is packed with birds and people from the tram stop to land's end,
namely along the west side. Visibility is excellent as the birds are feeding
low and at close range. You don't even need binoculars for many of them.

Given the number of good sightings, we'll list them below per location:

Tip:
-Acadian Flycatcher
-2 Cerulean Warblers
-Canada Warbler
-Pine Warbler
-Marsh Wren

Post Woods:
-Golden-winged Warbler
-Blue-winged Warbler
-Mourning Warbler
-Winter Wren (singing)

Woodland Nature Trail (Botham loop)
-Hooded Warbler

Tilden Woods Trail:
-Eastern Screech-Owl (red morph; same one as the past few days)

Chinquapin Oak Trail:
-Mourning Warbler
-2 Hooded Warblers
-Kentucky Warbler

Seasonal trail between Tilden Woods and Chinquapin Oak Trails:
-Blue-winged Warbler
-Orange-crowned Warbler
-Prothonotary Warbler

Cactus Field:
-Olive-sided Flycatcher

Seasonal path between Dunes and Sleepy Hollow:
-Orange-crowned Warbler

Stay tuned for more...
