Good morning birders.

It is indeed a good morning -- a great morning! There is extensive passerine
movement at seemingly all locations in the Park.

The best bird of the day has been an immature MISSISSIPPI KITE seen by many
observers over Sparrow Field. It was last seen heading West towards Pelee
Island. Soon after the kite was seen, 4 AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS also flew
towards the island. First thing this morning, a NEOTROPIC CORMORANT flew south
off the Tip with a group of Double-cresteds.

Other highlights from the Tip area include CERULEAN WARBLER, HOODED WARBLER,
BLUE-WINGED WARBLER and a colourful immature male SUMMER TANAGER ranging from
the Tip tram stop to Sparrow Field.

Tilden Woods Trail is also very productive, with a stand-out WORM-EATING
WARBLER on Tilden Woods Trail just north of the Tilden/Shuster intersection
(also just north of where the red morph EASTERN SCREECH-OWL is perched...in the
open). Earlier, a YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO showed well in the same location.

GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER was seen in the Cactus Field, and another HOODED WARBLER
was seen at White Pine.

Woodland Nature Trail is steady, especially along the Redbud Foot Path where
there has been an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER on the north end, a female
GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER at the mid-point, and a YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO at the south
end.

It's a "stay tuned" kind of day with good sightings flowing in on a consistent
basis. Bad luck on Friday the 13th? Not today at Point Pelee.
