Greetings birders:

It's a windy, bird-filled morning at Point Pelee. Warbler diversity is at 26,
and is expected to rise.

Tilden Woods Trail and Woodland Nature Trail are the two most productive
locations, and rare sightings are popping up hither and yon.

A male PROTHONOTARY WARBLER was singing above the south slough just east on
Shuster Trail from the Visitor Centre parking lot. A male WORM-EATING WARBLER
(likely the same bird seen yesterday) was feeding along the seasonal trail
north of the boardwalk on Tilden/Chinquapin Oak Trails.

PRAIRIE and ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS were seen just south of the tram stop at
the Tip.

BLUE-WINGED WARBLER was at the south end of the Redbud footpath off Woodland
Nature Trail. A SOLITARY SANDPIPER was just north of Bridge A on WNT. CANADA
WARBLER and PHILADELPHIA VIREO were seen around Bridge D. A CERULEAN WARBLER
showed briefly at Post 6.

2 MISSISSIPPI KITES flew north over Sparrow Field and Tilden Woods Trail.

Just north of Sparrow Field at Post Woods, a YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT was seen.

Hillman Marsh is fairly quiet, apart from 5 WILLETS feeding in the shorebird
cell.

EASTERN WHIP-POOR-WILLS are vocalizing regularly around the visitor centre each
evening at dusk.

Good Birding,
