Not quite as cold or windy this morning so it has been a good warbler show all
morning with birds foraging low. As of 11:30 a.m. 24 species have been reported
in the Park.

The Tip is basically a wash out today with waves bouncing up over the rocks on
the west side. As such there has been no reports of the Prairie or Cerulean
Warblers seen in prior days.

The east side of Woodland Trail is active with many of the common warblers. A
PROTHONOTARY WARBLER is being seen in the slough between bridges A and B, and a
HOODED WARBER is being seen in the cedars on the west side of the Botham Loop.
A number of Philadelphia Vireo are also being seen on the Woodland Trail.

The Tilden Trail remains the hot spot in the Park with the MOURNING WARBLER and
the WORM-EATING WARBLER being seen on the seasonal trail just east of where the
Tilden Trail joins the Chinquapin Trail. Patience is required for these two
birds. A number of YELLOW-THROATED VIREO are showing very well at the top end
of Tilden.

EASTERN BLUEBIRD and INDIGO BUNTING are becoming more common around the
DeLaurier Picnic Area and a number of female Indigo Bunting were foraging on
the Tilden Trail.
