Hi folks... Luc Fazio And Dan Salisbury led The Riverwood Conservancy Bird Walk
this morning with 18 at the beginning to 8 at the end partecipants ,, on a
lovely day for over 4 hours.
Next bird walks will be this Saturday and Mon, Wed, Sat next week..always at
8:30 am. Open and free to the public. See Riverwood website for more info.
Highlights
1) Cerulean Warbler, heard by Dan and the Group past the board walk near
Chappell Creek.
2) Olive-sided Flycatcher, on board walk at Chappel Creek
3) Sora Rail, new for Riverwood at the wet area by main parking lot.
4) amongst 21 species of Warblers the better species were..Cerulean, Mourning,
Canada, Bay-breasted, Black-throated Blue, Tennessee, Pine, Magnolia, N.
Waterthrush, etc. Etc. See EBIRD link above or below
5) Gray-cheeked Thrush, on green trail east of main Parking lot.
6) Rose-breasted Grosbeak and Indigo Buntings , on nesting territories
7) Ruby-throated Hummingbirds and Blue-Gray Gnatcatchers , nesting

Directions.. The Riverwood Conservancy is located on Burnahmthorpe Rd; north
east of the Credit River Bridge. From 403, exit at Mavis Rd, go south and go
west on Burnahmthorpe Rd.
