Hi Everyone, Sorry to fill your inboxes today but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of other ontbird emails. I just thought I should send a quick Townsend's warbler update, since I have received a good deal of personal emails from across the province. I first found the bird at 8:30 this morning at 17364 Lakeshore Rd. This is just a couple of cottages north of the Visitor Center. Thankfully it was singing, or I would have driven on by. Once I confirmed its identity and took a few photos, I got ahold of the other 3 birders in the park and we all listened to it, watched it and photographed it for the next half hour. It moved about 4 cottages north and eventually came back to where I originally heard it. It remained on the east side of the road at all times. It stayed about 30 feet or more in the trees and it fed in maples, oaks and pines. It moved a lot, got chased by yellow warblers and orioles and when it didn't sing, it was hard to find. We then lost it for quite a while, as it either stopped singing or flew off. At about 10:45, Mike Bouman refound it singing at 17402 Lakeshore, about 400m north of where we last saw it. A few of us then followed it around as it moved all the way north to #17422 and then it turned back south. I left there at 11:35 and it was still being seen and heard. I hope this helps anyone who is coming to look for it. It really is a beautiful male. My record photos can be found on Ebird now. Good luck to all who try for this bird.
