Last evening, July 26, starting at approx. 8:55 pm three (3) Common Nighthawks were observed feeding over Dupont St. and Dovercourt Rd.
One (1) has been observed throughout the summer and during the past week two (2) have been seen each evening. The third bird appeared the evening of July 25. They are likely a resident breeding pair with only one young raised this season. In 2015 on July 30 four (4) were observed.
