A TRCA volunteer checked at 11:05 a.m. and could not relocate the Common
Ringed Plover. However, birds move around during the day and it could also
be hidden in the habitat. If you go this afternoon, please update us all
asap as there are still many who would like to try for it. The park is open
weekdays from 4:00 p.m. to 9, and all day on Saturday and Sunday. If you
have a bike, it's a good way to get out there.

Directions: Tommy Thompson Park is at Leslie and Unwin Avenue in Toronto.
Park on Leslie or Unwin. Walk out the main road. Pass the booth in the
middle of the road and continue walking until the road forks. Take the left
fork and continue walking to Cell 2 on your right. This wetland is newly
constructed with islands, logs, stumps, fencing and metal poles.

This is a long walk (2.5 to 3 km each way) with no shade so please be
prepared.

Many thanks to those who are reporting.
