Birders

The Ontbirds Server has not been hacked.

The address book of an Ontbirds user has been comprised and is being used by spammers.

Ontbirds has tools for combating this type of hack. We block probably 20 similar posts daily. But short of direct review of the content of every single post prior to redistribution to the list occasional spams including links to malware will sneak into the system. All I can say is recognize it was what it is and delete it. Never click on a link you don't recognize. If a post from Ontbirds is not about birds it is probably not intended or legit.

More information about spam can be found on the OFO website (link at the bottom of this and every Ontbirds post) but if you have any questions please contact me directly.
