Visitors:
A few visitors today, most from the nearby area, but a couple from the
Ottawa area were also out with local friends.
Weather:
Mostly sunny skies, hard to pick out potentially high-up birds, and SW
winds keeping the birds away.
Raptor Observations:
Sharp-shinned Hawk numbers remain steady, as well as Merlin numbers with 6
more birds observed today.
Non-raptor Observations:
Still fairly good dabbling duck diversity, though still low numbers. 64
Chimney Swifts were observed migrating over. For the full eBird checklist,
go to http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S31570224 Dragonfly numbers
weren't as high as yesterday, but still came out with 365 Black Saddlebags,
41 Green Darners, and 5 Twelve-spotted Skimmers. 21 Monarchs were observed.
Predictions:
Tomorrow morning is supposed to be rainy, potentially continuing into the
afternoon. North winds all day!
