Observation start time: 06:00:00
Observation end time: 14:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Sean Jenniskens

Observers: Dan Loncke, Ed Pitts, Michael Williamson, Olga Klekner

Visitors:
A few visitors up the tower today, and all were greeted with Sharp-shinned
Hawks as usual.

Weather:
The sky was half clouds for most of the day, perfect for spotting birds!
But unfortunately the clouds didn't stop the heat of the first day of fall.
Winds were minimal and out of the S.

Raptor Observations:
Another good day for Sharp-shinned Hawks, and not great for anything else!
We did get another Peregrine Falcon which was the bird of the day, but all
the Broad-winged Hawks stayed N of us again.

Non-raptor Observations:
Blue Jay numbers were high today with 19,480 migrating overhead. There is
still low numbers, but good diversity of dabbling ducks in the marsh. For
the full eBird checklist, go to
http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S31708250 74 Black Saddlebags, a
single Green Darner, and 71 Monarchs were observed migrating as well.

Predictions:
They are calling for NE winds and partially cloudy all day, hopefully they
are right!
