Official Counter: Sean Jenniskens

Observers:

Visitors:
A few visitors today, including Bill and Jean from Chicago, who are down
for a couple days and were able to see a nice Red-shouldered Hawk today.

Weather:
More cloudless skies and South winds for most of the day! The winds started
switching to more Westerly around 3pm local time.

Raptor Observations:
Similar to yesterday, the majority of the raptors observed today were
Turkey Vultures picked up to the North mostly through the scope.
Surprisingly less Accipiters, and more Buteos than yesterday.

Non-raptor Observations:
14,400 Blue Jays observed flying over today, as well as 1,417 American
Goldfinches and 490 Red-winged Blackbirds. Also of note were the first 3
fly-over Purple Finches of the year. For the full eBird checklist, go to
http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S31935723 3 Black Saddlebags, 1 Green
Darner, and 4 Monarchs today.

Predictions:
The rain overnight is supposed to have stopped by morning, and we should be
getting more clear skies, but the morning is supposed to get some NW winds,
switching to the W for part of the afternoon.
