Observation start time: 08:00:00
Observation end time: 15:30:00
Total observation time: 7.5 hours

Official Counter: Sean Jenniskens

Observers: Bob Sokolowski, Dan Loncke, Ian Woodfield, Olga Klekner,
                  Ryan Sokolowski

Visitors:
Many people came up the tower today too see the migration! And I don't
think anyone was disappointed!

Weather:
The rain overnight did in fact seem to postpone the migration by an hour or
so. We had nice NW winds thoughout the day, and most of the day also had
many clouds, helping with spotting the high-up birds.

Raptor Observations:
It wasn't until after 11am local time that we saw our first Turkey
Vultures, first there were six, then there were 96, and that's how it went!
We had an day of hawk migration, though most were quite high! 8 Golden
Eagles, our second highest total this year, all of which came after noon
local time. Only one Rough-legged Hawk, observed late in the day.

Non-raptor Observations:
The morning was fairly busy before the raptors with counting American
Crows(8440), and Blackbirds/Starlings(9100 total). There were many other
birds moving, but most counts went under-counted due to the raptor numbers
present. For the full eBird checklist, go to
http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S32357356

Predictions:
Winds starting out of the North, and switching to the West in the
afternoon. Partial clouds so hopefully another good day!
