Observation start time: 09:00:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 7 hours

Official Counter: Dustin Brewer

Observers: Andrew Sturgess, Don Sherwood, Patrick Mulawa,
                  Rosemary Brady

Visitors:
We had a nice, small group of visitors today.

Weather:
Today was colder than yesterday, though the lighter, westerly wind made
conditions far more tolerable, and, when not in the shade, very pleasant.
Barometric pressure was high, though started to decrease at around noon.
Cloud cover was very low all day.

Raptor Observations:
Our second raptor of the day was a Rough-legged Hawk, and we saw three
distant Golden Eagles between 11 and 1. From 11 to 2 Red-tailed Hawks were
relatively numerous in the sky. Unfortunately, we had very few nearby
raptors to see, as the flight line was to our north.

Non-raptor Observations:
We saw several distant, very long lines of ducks, and only five American
Crows. Bonaparte's Gulls hunted in front of us. On a somewhat unsavory note
(Warning!) raptor bait now floats in front of us, in the form of a bloated
raccoon corpse. Bald Eagles are scavenging birds, so maybe we will have a
close look at one when we arrive to the count site tomorrow morning. If
life gives you lemons...

Predictions:
Tomorrow is predicted to be sunny all day, though the southwest winds may
push many raptors out of sight to the north of us.
