Observation start time: 09:00:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 7 hours

Official Counter: Natalie Cypher

Observers: Andrew Sturgess, Frank Kitakis, Rosemary Brady

Visitors:
Ken spent the afternoon with us and helped spot some distant raptors.

Weather:
Another chilly day, but much more manageable due to the light winds. Winds
began from the north, then gradually shifted east by the end of the day.
Mostly sunny skies with wispy clouds.

Raptor Observations:
Like yesterday, not quite the day we were hoping for. We had a few Turkey
Vultures, Cooper's, Red-shouldered, and Red-tailed Hawks only. 28 birds
total. Raptors seemed to be spread out evenly throughout the day, with no
noticeable peaks.

Non-raptor Observations:
We had another relatively large group of Sandhill Cranes fly over - one
group of 45 birds. Again, pretty impressive for this particular area.
Crows came through, with a total of about 230 birds. Like the previous
days, distant waterfowl were seen over the lake and in flight all day,
numbering in the thousands.

Predictions:
Rain is in the forecast with light south winds all day. Raptor migration
will likely be light.
