The WESTERN GREBE that was found yesterday (3 December 2016) in the harbour in
Midland was present again today (4 Dec).

Chris Evans and I found it around 11 a.m. to the east of Midland Bay Landing
Park (288 Bayshore Drive). It was constantly swimming so it was hard to track.
It initially headed east, but then it circled back and by noon it had worked
its way back to the harbour, which is about 1 km SW of the Park.

The harbour is on the north side of the intersection of King St. and Bayshore
Drive in Midland, Simcoe County on the Georgian Bay coast. There is free
parking at the Park and harbour. Lighting would be best in the morning or early
afternoon.

Also found were plenty of Long-tailed Ducks and three Common Loons.
