I located a vocal and skittish Townsend Solitaire in the west end of the park.
I first heard it just west of the boat ramp and went to investigate and got
glimpses of it moving around the west end of the park. Last time I heard it, it
was along the sw corner of the Park adjacent to the road and McLaughlin Bay
nature reserve. I have not seen or heard it since 10:40.
There is a bumper wild grape crop and a good buckthorn crop in/around the park
to provide it with ample food if it stays.

For winter listers there are at least 2 very relaxed Hermit Thrushes in the
same area.
Also at the entrance to the walkway to the gm platform at the Oshawa Second
Marsh is a Gray Catbird and 4 Song Sparrow.

Directions Exit from the 401 at the Harmony Rd. Exit(419) in Oshawa. Go south on
Farewell St. Colonel Sam Drive. Turn East onto Colonel Sam Drive and follow
past the GM Headquarters to the end of the road. Turn right at the end onto a
small road which will take you to the west park gate and adjacent parking lot.
