While doing the West Elgin CBC today around 4pm, Ann White and I found a
first year male Yellow-headed Blackbird in a field of corn stubble at the
southeast corner of Currie Road and Aberdeen Line, just north of the 401
exit 149. It was associating with a large flock of Mourning Doves and a
Rusty Blackbird. The flock moved west across Currie Road. There is a lot of
similar habitat in the area. Chris Leys had what was presumably the same
bird visit his feeder in West Lorne a week ago.
