This morning, I found a male Eurasian Widgeon on the Laurel Creek reservoir,
along with 2 male and 1 female American Widgeons, many Ring-necked Ducks, Ruddy
Ducks, a male Canvasback, Pied-billed Gebes, and a Horned Grebe.
The reservoir is now at or very near the upper operating level. All species
were observed from the viewing tower located on the East side of Beavercreek
Road in Northwest Waterloo. From Hwy 8, take the Ira Needles or Fischer-Hallman
Road exit and go north.
