Hi everyone, On both Thursday and Friday (April 13th and 14th) I observed what I believed to be an excellent candidate for glaucoides Iceland Gull at Ashbridges Bay Park. I have a point and shoot camera and my shots could never have helped in building a case for this subspecies! Coincidentally, Owen Strickland observed the bird, again at Ashbridges, on Saturday afternoon. He took excellent photos, which I have posted to my site for viewing:
http://eontbird.ca/?p=5733 I have received independent feedback on the bird and...so far, so good...looks like an excellent candidate for the nominate subspecies, glaucoides. It is an exceptionally beautiful bird and I highly recommend visiting Ashbridges to view it. Good birding and Happy Easter, Jon _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) - the provincial birding organization.
