Highlights of reports received April 13 through April 20 from the Niagara Frontier Region. April 17, on Chautauqua Lake in the Southern Tier, three AMER. WHITE PELICANS in the south basin, off Greenhurst. Also the 17th, in the Elba mucklands, north of Batavia, an early LEAST SANDPIPER with 30 GREATER YELLOWLEGS and 2 LESSER YELLOWLEGS, plus 2 SANDHILL CRANES and numbers of NORTHERN PINTAILS and GREEN-WINGED TEAL. HOUSE WRENS were reported at two locations this week. And in a Wilson yard on Lake Ontario, PALM WARBLER and a high count of 30 PURPLE FINCHES.
