Two Lapland Longspurs were discovered this aft. upon the Osprey Links golf
course fairway at Callander, Ont. (just south of North Bay )(which is 3
1/2hours uninterrupted highway north of Toronto). They were among at least 300
swirling Tree Swallows,(with 1 or 1 Barns) and 4 Lesser Yellow-legs close to
ponds next to the Cranberry Road. Hundreds of mostly diving ducks (some ten
species) are within the adjacent sewage lagoons.
