Highlights: Amongst many other returning migrants, warblers are always a favourite and this week has finally seen the first big push of this group with, for example, 8 species seen at Prince Edward Point on 27th. Here are the highlights of the last week: GREEN HERON - the first returning bird was seen at Sydenham on 22nd. SANDHILL CRANE - birds were noted at Crosby, Sydenham, Verona, and Lower Brewers. LITTLE GULL - Two birds sere seen at Kaiser Cross Road, Prince Edward County on 23rd, with a further 2 seen on 2nd Line, Wolfe Island on 29th. SAY'S PHOEBE - bird of the week was a lone bird seen at Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory on the evening of 23rd. LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE - birds continue at their breeding grounds at Napanee Plain IBA. LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH - a singing male was back on Canoe Lake Road on 29th. BLUE-WINGED WARBLER - an early male was seen at Prince Edward Point on 27th.
