Hi all,

The Snowy Egret found yesterday morning by Ken MacDonald in the Matchadash Bay
Area of Simcoe County is still present as of this writing.

It is currently perched on a snag in the heronry about 250-300 m to the West. A
scope is necessary for satisfactory views.

Likely only the 2nd confirmed record for Simcoe County.

Directions: To reach the heronry exit highway 400 at Quarry Road and head East,
look for the trail on the West side of the road before you get to the LaFarge
Quarry. Follow the Trail for about 300 m or so until you reach a small opening
to view the heronry.

Good luck!

Dave Szmyr
