Sunday, May the 5th A summer tanager was seen in backus woods. It was originally spotted by Giovanni Campanelli, then immediately confirmed by myself, Rick Ludkin, Alessandra Wilcox, and Ezra Campanelli. This bird was photographed and there is no doubt of it's identity. The bird was a second year male.
