Heard, not seen, about 3:30 p.m., on Sarsaparilla Trail between Bell's Corners and Kanata, southwest of Ottawa.
Bird was heard -- a very distinctive song for these parts -- at the end of the trail, in a tall tree, by the lake. Directions: From the south: On Hwy. 416, go north to Exit 72. Head left (west) on West Hunt Club Road. Turn right (north) at Richmond Road. The trail is first left and well-marked. From the east or west: On Hwy. 417, take Exit 134. Head south on Moodie Drive. After Robertson Road, Moodie Drive becomes Richmond Road. Stay on Richmond Road. The trail is on the right, about 1.5 km south of Robertson Road. It is well-marked.
