An adult male Blue Grosbeak was found this morning by Jerry DeMarco and seen again early this evening by yours truly and David Langford. It was also seen again earlier today, after the initial discovery and after considerable effort, by Bob Yukich.
Directions: Take the Bloor St. entrance to High Park. The bird was seen in the woodland immediately west of the first large open area (Oak Savannah), which is situated between West Dr. and Grenadier Pond. Look for a steep, wide path descending from West Drive to the pond (the now overgrown ski or toboggan hill). This evening the Grosbeak was actively feeding in a Oak tree near this trail. It was last observed flying off with two smaller birds towards the northwest (distance undetermined).
