At 8 AM on 15 June, the Rideau Lakes Birding Club observed an adult Yellow-crowned Night-Heron on the grass right near the parking lot of Mac Johnson Conservation Area. Helen just shared some of her excellent photos, and it's an adult bird. Directions: Mac Johnson C.A. is located N of Brockville, and is accessed off of Stewart Boulevard (Road 29). The main parking lot if located off of Debruge Rd. From Debruge, turn on to Service Rd. The parking lot is located at the end of Service Rd.
